NYFW Fall/Winter 2026: What Shaped the Season

As New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall/Winter 2026 came to a close today, the six-day fashion calendar once again proved New York’s unmatched role in setting the global fashion agenda. From trend reinventions to cultural narratives and the rise of fresh voices, this season reflected both the industry’s creative evolution and its growing diversity. The official schedule ran from February 11–16 across the city’s main fashion venues, bringing together established brands and emerging designer.

NYFW FALL/WINTER 2026: DEFINED BY FRESH PERSPECTIVES

This edition of NYFW delivered a rich mix of designers, from heritage houses to new names making their first on-calendar appearances. Several emerging creatives expanded the fashion conversation, reinterpreting American style with individuality and contemporary relevance. Meanwhile, established designers continued to use the platform to push boundaries. Marc Jacobs opened the week with a collection that balanced restraint and experimental silhouettes, while Ralph Lauren blended classic Americana with moody, dramatic details.

WHAT SHAPED THE SEASON?

NYFW Fall/Winter 2026 was rich with directional trends already shaping fashion discourse. Nicola Brognano’s debut at 7 For All Mankind leaned into a bold Y2K revival, bringing back skinny jeans, babydoll dresses, and expressive early-2000s styling with a fresh, contemporary edge. Across multiple collections, designers explored the contrast of leather and lace, balancing toughness with romance, while street style proved just as influential, with neckties emerging as an unexpected key accessory, redefining modern sophistication.

At the same time, nostalgic practicality took center stage, with Brooklyn label Gabe Gordon spotlighting Ugg boots in a renewed fashion context. Overall, New York style in 2026 felt less about one defining silhouette and more about individuality, authenticity, and creative identity, spanning from elevated everyday wear to avant-garde statements.

NYFW FALL/WINTER 2026: LOOKING AHEAD

As Fashion Month now shifts to Europe, the influence of NYFW remains clear: trend cycles are no longer linear or uniform, but reflective of authentic voices, diverse cultural narratives, and hybrid aesthetics that balance commercial appeal with creative exploration.

New York’s fashion ecosystem continues to serve as a powerful springboard for ideas that shape global style, reaffirming the city’s central role in the future of fashion.

LVMH Watch Week 2026: Horology in Milan

For its 2026 edition, LVMH Watch Week took place in Milan, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to shaping the future of contemporary watchmaking through innovation and creative excellence. Set against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most influential luxury capitals, the event once again positioned itself as a key early-year moment for the global watch industry.

Rather than following the traditional trade-show format, LVMH Watch Week continues to stand out for its curated, appointment-only approach, offering journalists, retailers, clients and industry insiders an intimate and focused setting in which to engage with each Maison. Milan’s strong cultural heritage, design legacy and natural connection to luxury provided an elegant framework for the event.

LVMH WATCH WEEK: A UNIFIED VISION AND CREATIVE VOICES

The 2026 edition brought together watchmaking Maisons from the LVMH Group, presenting new creations that reflect their individual identities. From avant-garde mechanics to heritage-driven design, the diversity of approaches highlighted the Group’s strength across different segments of high watchmaking.

Maisons such as ZENITH continued to explore contemporary architecture and high-frequency performance through new evolutions of the DEFY Skyline collection. TAG Heuer reinforced its leadership in chronographs with technically advanced and sport-inspired timepieces. Hublot remained true to its bold DNA, presenting expressive designs that merge innovative materials with strong visual impact. Meanwhile, Bvlgari underscored its unique position at the crossroads of jewelry and horology, showcasing creations that celebrate Italian design codes, precious materials and sculptural forms, the Maglia Milanese Monete. Tiffany & Co. highlighted its growing watchmaking presence with refined creations that pay tribute to its heritage while embracing contemporary sophistication with the debut of the Tiffany Timer.

KEY THEMES SHAPING THE 2026 EDITION

Across the various presentations, several defining themes emerged. Material innovation played a central role, with maisons experimenting with precious metals, ceramics and expressive finishes. Mechanical sophistication, particularly in chronographs, skeletonized movements and tourbillons. Equally important was the emphasis on design narrative. Rather than chasing short-lived trends, many of the 2026 creations focused on timeless aesthetics, strong identity and emotional resonance.

More than a product showcase, LVMH offers a clear and coherent vision of its horological direction, while allowing each brand to express its own creative language. Shaping not only the products of today, but the narrative of tomorrow.

Vicenzaoro 2026: Shaping the Global Jewelry Industry

Vicenzaoro 2026 comes to an end today in Vicenza, Italy, closing another edition of one of the most influential international trade shows for jewelry, goldsmithing and watchmaking. Once again, the event confirmed its role as a key global platform where business, creativity and innovation meet, setting the pace for the year ahead.

Held at the Vicenza Expo Centre, Vicenzaoro officially opens the jewelry industry’s annual calendar. It brings together brands, designers, manufacturers and buyers from all over the world, offering a comprehensive overview of market dynamics and emerging trends that will shape the sector throughout 2026.

VICENZAORO: A GLOBAL INDUSTRY PLATFORM

This January edition stood out for its strong international dimension. More than 1,300 brands exhibited at the show, with a significant percentage coming from outside Italy. Buyers and professionals attended from around 140 countries. This global participation reinforces Vicenzaoro’s position as a true international marketplace and a strategic meeting point for the jewelry industry.

One of Vicenzaoro’s defining strengths lies in its ability to cover the entire jewelry value chain through a well-structured and integrated format. The event combines high-end jewelry, gemstones and components with technology and manufacturing solutions, offering a 360-degree view of the industry. Palakiss plays a central role for ready-to-deliver collections and immediate orders, while T.Gold showcases machinery and industrial excellence. VO Vintage, dedicated to vintage jewelry and watches, reflects the growing interest in heritage, collectability and timeless design.

BUSINESS AND TRENDS

Beyond its commercial relevance, Vicenzaoro also acts as a trend observatory and knowledge platform. Throughout the event, talks, panels and industry meetings addressed key topics such as design evolution, market scenarios and sustainability. These moments of exchange help professionals anticipate change and adapt their strategies in an increasingly complex global market.

This year’s edition also introduced a renewed vision through the theme People, Product, Places, highlighting the importance of relationships, creativity and context within the jewelry system. The programme extended beyond the exhibition halls, with cultural initiatives and events across the city of Vicenza strengthening the connection between the fair and Italian heritage.

As Vicenzaoro 2026 draws to a close, the event once again proves why it remains a reference point for the international jewelry industry. More than a trade fair, continues to shape conversations, inspire and support the growth of brands and professionals worldwide.
