Eberhard & Co. novelties

In 2023, Eberhard & Co. continues its legacy of horological excellence with a collection of captivating novelties. This esteemed Swiss watchmaker, renowned since 1887, once again demonstrates its commitment to innovation and timeless design and this spring, it was not different.

Eberhard & Co.’s 2023 novelties reflect their unwavering dedication to crafting timepieces that not only mark the hours but also tell a story of 136 years of innovation.

SCAFOGRAF 300 MCMLIX

The contemporary rendition of the SCAFOGRAF 300 was unveiled in 2016. It received the Grand Prix D’Horlogerie de Genève Award for the best sports watch of the year. The “MCMLIX” version, characterized by vintage-style luminescent hands and markers, embodies all the key features of a dive watch.

Following versions with black, blue, and green dials, in 2023, Eberhard & Co. introduces a warm brown dial variant, paired with a ceramic bezel in the same hue. This highly technical model seamlessly transitions from the ocean’s depths to the diverse challenges of urban life, making it a perfect choice for any occasion. Scafograf’s versatility, inherited from the pioneering days of sports watchmaking, remains one of the key drivers behind its enduring success.

TRAVERSETOLO

The 1990s marked a pivotal moment for Eberhard & Co. with the launch of their inaugural Traversetolo timepiece. Right from its inception, Traversetolo enjoyed immediate success, a legacy that continues unabated to this day. In fact, it stands as one of the brand’s all-time best-sellers. Powered by a manual-winding movement originally conceived for pocket watches in the 1950s, which has been continually refined over time.

In a contemporary expansion of their collection, Eberhard & Co. now introduces two new dial variations: the classic white adopts a fresh allure through its combination with black superluminova, while an unprecedented midnight blue, reminiscent of the brand’s signature color, is paired with white superluminova.

This sophisticated and charming accessory is the perfect addition to elevate even the most casual ensemble.

8 JOURS GRANDE TAILLE

In 1997, Eberhard & Co. made an indelible mark in the world of horology by pioneering an extended power reserve timepiece with the birth of the 8 Jours model. However, the challenge lay in shrinking this remarkable feat into a mere 39mm diameter case.

The modern incarnation of one of watchmaking’s most cherished “useful complications” came to life. The exceptionally refined aesthetics paid homage to the timepiece’s historical roots, with the same classic lines retained.

Thanks to this remarkable marriage of technical prowess and aesthetic splendor, coupled with its outstanding value proposition. The 8 Jours has established itself as one of the most beloved models for enthusiasts of classic timepieces.

Eberhard & Co x La Leggenda di Bassano

Eberhard & Co. has renewed its presence as main sponsor and official timekeeper of the 28th edition of “La Leggenda di Bassano – Trofeo Giannino Marzotto“: the classic car race saw, once again, incredible vehicles with crews from up to 13 countries in the picturesque scenery of the Dolomites.

A unique event of its kind that is not only a regularity race, but a real experience, where time is punctuated and the brand knows how much a second can be decisive for a driver.

The event began on Thursday, June 22, from Villa Caffo Navarrini, in Rossano Veneto and concluded with the traditional parade in Piazza della Libertà in Bassano del Grappa, on Sunday, June 25.

Among the ninety “barchette” participants, unique cars paraded through the streets, such as a Maserati 250/200 SI from 1957 or even an impressive Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa from 1959.

During the car race, the models passed through Bassano del Grappa, making their way through Cavalese, crossing the port of Manghen, continuing to the ports of Lavazè, Pennes and Giovo.

Among the novelties of the route, the passage through Austria, with a visit to the highest motorcycle museum in the world and the night stop of the cars in a very special “garage”: the Vittorio, were among the most remarkable moments of the event.

Giannino Marzotto AWARD

In the lead and escorting the historic cars was Dallara Stradale, driven by the two-time World Rally Champion, Miki Biasion.

The event was also attended by Mario Peserico, Eberhard & Co.’s CEO, who awarded two chronographs of the Swiss Maison, two special Desk Clock from the Tazio Nuvolari collection, to the winning crew, the couple Gianmarco Rossi and Manola Antonelli that were aboard a Singer Nine Sport from 1933 and have been awarded with the “Giannino Marzotto” award.

This Eberhard & Co.’s presence at “Abruzzo Gran Tour – Circuito di Avezzano” reinforced the
Maison’s bond with the world of vintage motoring and with those events where the passion for this
field is shared with a sense of authenticity.

One watch, one city, eight colors: the origins of Maurice de Mauriac condensed on
a new multichromatic edition.

A singular timepiece, a kaleidoscope of hues: the inception of Maurice de Mauriac encapsulated within a fresh and vibrant multicolored iteration, the Züri Date.

Rising to the occasion, Maurice de Mauriac is launching a new Züri-Date timepiece in 8 colours: green, turquoise, red, orange, black, white, yellow and blue.

The Design

Massimo Dreifuss, the elder Watchbro, describes the design process of the new Züri-Date as something special: “We kept getting on different trams at Paradeplatz, letting the colors work on us and changing them slightly again and again. In the end we had harmonized the aesthetics of the tram colors with our own aesthetics.”
Therefore, the new Züri-Date is available in eight dial hues, paired with a high-quality stylish leather strap or with a robust steel bracelet.

The new Züri-Date is available in eight dial hues, paired with a high-quality stylish leather strap or with a robust steel bracelet. Its characteristic dial features a day display at 12 o’clock in Zurich’s very own Swiss German dialect and a magnifying glass on the date at 3 o’clock.
