Space Gallery St Barth is delighted to present the talented RizRizRizz in his inaugural exhibition
in New York City, ‘We Need Romance in our Madness’, from July 20 till the end of August, visitors will have the opportunity to get in touch with Riz’s artwork.

In this series of paintings, we step fully into Rizz’s world, into his imagination and dreams, into
his pastel palette of delights, where heavenly animals and heroic females live. Floating on soft tones with large, wild brush strokes, these painting invite you in.

With a deceptive simplicity, there is a naivety to this work, but take a deeper look and they are laden with myths and cultural references.

These paintings are poetry that spill out from the artist’s romantic and gentle soul and you beg to know more.

THE ARTWORK

RizRizRizz is a renowned Indonesian multidisciplinary artist and his works have been exhibited in galleries around the world and his work offers an intimate look inside his feelings and life experiences full of drama, trauma, tragedy and comedy all wrapped in one satirical work.

Rizz has the ability to communicate a plethora of complicated emotions through his paintings. The female figure is almost always accompanied by animal imagery and literary prose, which divulge the complicated world inhabited within each painting. Each story laid out before us but shrouded in an air of mystery.

“In this mad period of time, I put all my heart and soul into my artwork. I have lost my mind in this process, but in all this madness, I still feel the burning passion in my soul to keep creating.” said the artist.

Rizz also exhibits sculptures that are adapted from the figures residing in the paintings. These sculptures represent a 3D manifestation to many forms of his anxiousness and formal instincts as an artist-which became the baseline for his creative thought process that is inspired by tradition, yet it revolted against their ideal forms.

Eberhard & Co x La Leggenda di Bassano

Eberhard & Co. has renewed its presence as main sponsor and official timekeeper of the 28th edition of “La Leggenda di Bassano – Trofeo Giannino Marzotto“: the classic car race saw, once again, incredible vehicles with crews from up to 13 countries in the picturesque scenery of the Dolomites.

A unique event of its kind that is not only a regularity race, but a real experience, where time is punctuated and the brand knows how much a second can be decisive for a driver.

The event began on Thursday, June 22, from Villa Caffo Navarrini, in Rossano Veneto and concluded with the traditional parade in Piazza della Libertà in Bassano del Grappa, on Sunday, June 25.

Among the ninety “barchette” participants, unique cars paraded through the streets, such as a Maserati 250/200 SI from 1957 or even an impressive Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa from 1959.

During the car race, the models passed through Bassano del Grappa, making their way through Cavalese, crossing the port of Manghen, continuing to the ports of Lavazè, Pennes and Giovo.

Among the novelties of the route, the passage through Austria, with a visit to the highest motorcycle museum in the world and the night stop of the cars in a very special “garage”: the Vittorio, were among the most remarkable moments of the event.

Giannino Marzotto AWARD

In the lead and escorting the historic cars was Dallara Stradale, driven by the two-time World Rally Champion, Miki Biasion.

The event was also attended by Mario Peserico, Eberhard & Co.’s CEO, who awarded two chronographs of the Swiss Maison, two special Desk Clock from the Tazio Nuvolari collection, to the winning crew, the couple Gianmarco Rossi and Manola Antonelli that were aboard a Singer Nine Sport from 1933 and have been awarded with the “Giannino Marzotto” award.

This Eberhard & Co.’s presence at “Abruzzo Gran Tour – Circuito di Avezzano” reinforced the
Maison’s bond with the world of vintage motoring and with those events where the passion for this
field is shared with a sense of authenticity.
