Traversetolo, one of Eberhard & Co.’s best sellers. Introduced in 1996 and can be considered one of the pioneers of large-case watches. With a diameter of 43 mm, it was a surprising release at the time enjoying immediate success.

TRAVERSETOLO AND THE NEW DIAL

Eberhard &. Co introduces this timepiece in a brand-new guise. With its essential design, clear readability and its solid and reliable hand-wound movement. The dial, framed by a polished steel bezel. Coloured in an original powder-blue shade. With a fresh, bright tone.

Indeed, the new dial combines perfectly with a Chaland steel bracelet. Also, with a soft touch vintage leather strap in light blue. This creates an original matching effect. Traversetolo has a minted caseback. Lastly, marks in relief or the vitré version in which the sapphire glass caseback reveals the movement that animates the timepiece.

Following the launch of the 1969 Collection in June 2023, Singer Reimagined is now unveiling four new references. This will expand the brand’s 40mm permanent collection. Introducing two new models in stainless steel with sun-brushed silver-coloured dials and two others with bronze cases and velvety matt green dials.

The inspiration behind each of the four pieces is the brand’s revolutionary spirit of discovery that is synonymous with the year 1969.

THE MODELS BY SINGER REIMAGINED

The 1969 Chronograph is the quintessential expression of thee brand’s high-watchmaking approach. Featuring the most recent version of the famous AgenGraphe caliber. The AgenGraphe’s design offers a time display with a enhanced readability of the 60 hours chronograph function. Taking central stage on the dial. All of this condensed to only 40mm.

The 1969 Timer represents the ultimate example of complexity distilled to its purest form. An
intricate zero-reset system combined with a flyback device is the hidden technical gem behind this three-hands timepiece. A simple push of the button at 2 o’clock allows for lightning fast elapsed-time measurement using the central second hand of your watch.

To capture the essence of strength and authenticity embodied by Samir Leuppi and the Chrono Modern Big Date Deep Blue. Maurice de Mauriac ventured into the heart of Switzerland’s wrestling community. Amidst the intensity of the wrestling ring, the sawdust and sweat. Samir Leuppi’s presence loomed large. A testament to his commanding presence both as a wrestler and as a dedicated police officer. Swiss Wrestling, also known as “Schwingen”, is a traditional form of wrestling that has its roots in Switzerland.

Originating in the Alps, this sport dates back to the 13th century and is known for its hand-to-hand wrestling techniques, where competitors try to take down their opponent by throwing them to the ground and keeping their shoulders on the ground.

Designed by Daniel Dreifuss, the 051015 dial gives both watch and owner a subtle dynamism. The dimensions of these watches and their clear edges leave no doubt: a “Chrono Modern” always adorns a strong arm.

SINGER REIMAGINED & GENUS: A PERFECT COLLABORATION AT ONLY WATCH

Singer Reimagined and Genus presented a creation that rekindles the flame of childlike wonder within each of us. Their combined expertise and passion for horology culminated in the stunning 8-Track Watch, featured in lot 39 of the auction. This masterpiece seamlessly blends intricate technical detailing with a sleek vintage look, capturing the essence of both brands.

This timepiece not only captivated the attendees with its aesthetic appeal but also stood out for its sophisticated mechanics. This unique piece embodies the innovative spirit and meticulous craftsmanship that Singer Reimagined and Genus are renowned for. It is no surprise that this extraordinary timepiece fetched an impressive 100,000 CHF at the auction.

This year’s Only Watch charity auction was a memorable event, filled with remarkable creations and heartfelt contributions. The funds raised from the auction go towards research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This is a cause that resonates deeply within the horological community. The Cannes Film Festival continues to hold its place as one of the most prestigious events on the cinematic calendar. CANNES FILM FESTIVAL: CINEMATIC EXCELLENCE

This year, the festival will award three Honorary Palme d’Or. The first for Meryl Streep during the opening ceremony. (Meryl Streep will be the guest of honour at the opening ceremony). The second to Studio Ghibli. And the third will go to George Lucas during the festival’s closing ceremony.

Finally, the official poster for the festival this year, features a still image from the movie Rhapsody in August (1991) by Akira Kurosawa, selected for the 1991 edition and was designed by Hartland Villa.
