Illuminated Elegance: Discover the Frederique Constant Classics Moneta Solarmetre

The pursuit of an inexhaustible energy source has accompanied watchmaking for centuries. While traditional mechanical watchmaking continues to refine the autonomy of its movements, modern innovation presents an elegant alternative. Frederique Constant, staying true to its philosophy of accessible luxury, proudly unveils the Classics Moneta Solarmetre, a timepiece where classic aesthetic codes gracefully conceal cutting-edge solar technology.

The Seamless Integration of Solar Innovation

At the heart of the new Classics Moneta Solarmetre beats the pioneering FC-120 solar calibre, meticulously developed in collaboration with the renowned Manufacture La Joux-Perret. While photovoltaic energy is not a novel concept in the industry, its application has historically compromised design due to the visual impact of solar cells.

Frederique Constant has masterfully overcome this hurdle. The architecture of the dial is constructed in three ingenious layers:

  • The visual dial: Appears entirely opaque but is microscopically permeable to light.

  • The solar layer: Houses the photovoltaic cells situated on the second tier.

  • The movement: The remarkably slim FC-120 caliber houses a rechargeable battery capable of converting and storing light as electrical energy.

As long as there is light, the watch continues to run. Even in complete darkness, the Classics Moneta Solarmetre retains an astonishing power reserve of up to ten months.

Aesthetic Harmony: The Coin-Edged Masterpiece

The Solarmetre inherits the collection’s hallmark: a beautifully fluted inner bezel inspired by the ridged profile of antique coins. This new iteration introduces a refined 39 mm polished stainless-steel case, beautifully proportioned with a slender thickness of just 8.52 mm. The sophisticated grained finish on the dial, a first for the collection, adds exceptional depth.

Versatility for the Modern Luxury Consumer

Understanding the dynamic lifestyle of today’s clientele, Frederique Constant delivers the Classics Moneta Solarmetre with a versatile dual-strap system. Each timepiece is accompanied by both a classic crocodile-pattern leather strap and a sleek, interchangeable stainless-steel Milanese mesh bracelet.

Classics Manchette Turquoise: The Ultimate Summer Statement

Some colors define a season. This summer, turquoise takes center stage.

Radiating freshness, elegance, and a sense of escape, turquoise has become one of the most sought-after shades of the season. Evoking crystal-clear waters, sun-drenched destinations, and endless blue horizons, it effortlessly complements summer wardrobes while bringing a vibrant touch of sophistication to every look.

Frederique Constant embraces this seasonal icon with the launch of the new Classics Manchette Turquoise, a timepiece that combines Swiss watchmaking expertise with the allure of fine jewelry.

ICON OF SUMMER

At the heart of the watch lies its most distinctive feature: a dial crafted from natural turquoise stone. Long associated with protection, serenity, and positive energy, turquoise has been admired for centuries for its unique beauty and symbolism. No two stones are identical, and each dial reveals its own natural veins, textures, and reflections, making every watch a unique creation.

The latest evolution of the Frederique Constant Classics Manchette Turquoise revisits a design first introduced in 2012. Reimagined for today, the new model features seven articulated gold-tone links adorned with Frederique Constant’s signature Clou de Paris pattern. The result is a bold and contemporary silhouette that balances elegance with a subtle glam-rock spirit.

Designed to wrap fluidly around the wrist, the bracelet transforms the watch into a true jewelry piece. Its sculptural presence, combined with the vibrant intensity of the turquoise dial, creates a striking contrast that captures the energy of summer while remaining timeless in its appeal.

More than a timepiece, the Classics Manchette Turquoise is an expression of individuality. Its unique natural stone dial ensures that each piece tells its own story, reflecting the personality of the wearer and the beauty of nature itself.

For those seeking a distinctive accessory that embodies both sophistication and summer spirit, the Frederique Constant Classics Manchette Turquoise offers a refreshing interpretation of contemporary luxury.

Celebrating Women Shaping the Future of Watchmaking and Luxury

International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate progress, acknowledge the women who shape our industries, and look ahead to a future that continues to open new doors.

At Sparkling PR, this day holds a special meaning. We are proud to be an all-women communications agency operating in the world of luxury and high watchmaking. A field that has historically been largely male-dominated. Over the years, we have witnessed a meaningful evolution: more women stepping into leadership roles, founding brands, shaping creative direction, and influencing the future of the industry.

It is inspiring to see this transformation unfold.

From visionary CEOs and entrepreneurs to designers, watchmakers, and journalists, women are increasingly present at every level of the watchmaking ecosystem. Leaders such as Ilaria Resta, CEO of Audemars Piguet, alongside founders and creatives like Christine Hutter, founder of Moritz Grossmann, represent a generation of women who are redefining what leadership and creativity look like in horology.

Across the industry, remarkable women continue to contribute to this evolution. Leaders such as Catherine Rénier, CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels and former CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Caroline Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard, have played pivotal roles in shaping the strategic and creative direction of some of the most respected maisons in luxury.

At the same time, the media landscape that brings these stories to life is enriched by influential voices in watch journalism. Journalists such as Barbara Palumbo, Roberta Naas, Dodi Giussani, and Malaika Crawford, alongside new-generation platforms like Brynn Wallner’s Dimepiece, continue to expand the conversation around watches, collectors, and the evolving culture of horology.

At Sparkling PR, we believe that our feminine perspective is one of our greatest strengths. The world of public relations, especially in luxury, relies on nuance, emotional intelligence, aesthetic sensitivity, and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Presenting a timepiece or a creation is not simply about sharing technical specifications; it is about telling a story, understanding the people behind the craft, and creating genuine connections with journalists, collectors, and enthusiasts.

These are qualities that many women bring naturally to the table.

Our daily work revolves around presenting our clients’ creations with elegance, building trusted relationships with international media, and shaping narratives that honor heritage while inspiring the future. In many ways, these skills echo the very essence of watchmaking itself: patience, attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

Seeing more women entering and thriving within this industry, whether as executives, founders, designers, journalists, or communicators is both encouraging and energizing.

Today, we celebrate not only the remarkable women who have paved the way, but also the growing community of women who are shaping the future of watchmaking and luxury.

At Sparkling PR, we are proud to contribute  through communication, storytelling, and relationships, to this vibrant community of women helping shape the future of the industry.

Happy International Women’s Day.
